David Walker, CPA

David Walker, CPA, is a Director in Moore Colson’s Business Assurance Practice. David is responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of financial statement audits as well as managing staff members. David’s successful business and consulting experience spans over 18 years and includes serving private-equity-owned, owner-managed and internationally-owned privately-held businesses.

David enjoys his role as a relationship builder through developing strong rapport with his clients as a trusted advisor and through his larger business and community-focused activities. David leads audit and assurance engagements primarily within the manufacturing and distribution, financial services, hospitality, technology, employee benefit plan and retail industries. While providing primarily assurance services, David advises clients through developing and improving systems and controls, evaluating acquisition targets, preparing ownership transitions and obtaining or renewing financing.

David’s professional background in public accounting, along with his strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills, complement Moore Colson’s already diversified Business Assurance team.

Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2019 as a Director, David worked with GreerWalker CPAs and Advisors in Charlotte, NC, as a Partner where he was responsible for leading the growth and expansion of his firm while managing the firm’s accounting and auditing committee.
