Jason Birmingham, CPA, is a Partner in Moore Colson’s Advisory Practice with extensive experience in Moore Colson’s Assurance Practice. Jason has over 30 years of experience in providing transaction-related due diligence / business assurance services across various industries including distribution, manufacturing, service, transportation, and construction.
Over the past 25 years, Jason has worked with strategic clients, PEGS, and banks and has provided various due diligence services including quality of earnings analysis, evaluation of working capital trends, cash flow projections, and assistance with post-acquisition transition, integration, and support services.
Jason has performed quality of earnings analyses on over 250 potential targets with revenues ranging from $1 million to $500 million in revenues. These services included assisting the buyer on understanding the financial risks associated with the target, reviewing of acquisition purchase agreements, assessing final working capital amounts, and assisting in opening balance sheet accounting. In addition, he supported companies in preparing cash flow projections and consulting on various business issues.
While working in the Business Assurance Practice area, clients called on Jason to provide comprehensive, independent assurance services that added value to their businesses. By partnering with these clients and getting to know their unique needs, Jason was able not only to provide an assessment of past history but also to provide a strategy for the future.
