Moore Colson Announces Four Partner Promotions

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced the promotion of four directors to partner. The professionals receiving this promotion include Candace Jackson, CPA; Marcia Nally, CPA; Sydney Trew, CPA; and Tyler Wright, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE.

Jackson started her career with Moore Colson over 13 years ago. She has held several roles within the firm, advancing with successive promotions from associate to a business assurance director role in 2018 and to a partner role in 2021. During her time at Moore Colson, Jackson has gained over 13 years of experience with employee benefit plans, serving both public and private company plans to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and to advise on plan operations. Jackson serves as the practice area leader in Moore Colson’s Employee Benefit Plan practice. She assists in executing approximately 50 employee benefit plan audits each year, providing guidance to clients on 401(k), 403(b), pension, ESOP, and health and welfare plans. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Berry College. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Women in Pensions Network and the Atlanta Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Jackson also serves as a board member of the Pension Education Council of Atlanta.

Nally joined Moore Colson in 2015 as a tax senior manager with extensive experience working with real estate partnerships, developers and high net-worth individuals. Nally was promoted to tax director in 2018 and to partner in 2021. At Moore Colson, Nally has primarily focused on tax compliance and planning services for closely-held businesses and their owners in the real estate industry. She also works with clients in the franchise, manufacturing and professional services industries. Nally holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama. She remains an active member in the University of Alabama Alumni Association and the Gamma Phi Beta Alumni Association. Nally is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Atlanta Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

Trew started her career with Moore Colson over 12 years ago. She has held several roles within the firm, advancing with successive promotions from associate to a tax director role in 2019 and a partner role in 2021. At Moore Colson, Trew’s primary focus is on tax compliance and planning for closely-held businesses and their owners. Her professional background in public accounting includes serving clients in the construction, real estate, professional services, hospitality and manufacturing industries. Trew also has extensive experience in the implementation of successful tax and succession planning strategies for closely-held businesses, as well as estate and financial planning for high net-worth individuals. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with an emphasis in International Business and a Master of Accounting from Samford University. Trew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Atlanta Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the Samford University Alumni Association. Trew also recently joined the board of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra as the treasurer.

Wright joined the firm in 2018 as a consulting senior manager and was promoted to director in 2019 and partner in 2021. Wright’s primary focus is helping lead the consulting practice and its engagements, nurturing client relationships, providing consultative advice and driving continued efficiencies while enabling the firm’s growth. Drawing on his experience as an external auditor, internal auditor and forensic accountant, Wright provides accounting and financial advice in forensic investigations and commercial disputes. His professional background includes over 15 years of progressive forensic accounting, fraud investigation and legal dispute experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. Wright is an active member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also serves as a leadership council member of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF).
