Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced the promotions of Kelly Bird-Keith, CPA, and Stephanie George, CPA, to partner in the firm.
Bird-Keith joined Moore Colson in 2011 as a business assurance senior associate. She has held several roles within the firm, advancing with successive promotions from senior associate to business assurance director in 2018 and partner in 2022. Bird-Keith specializes in the firm’s real estate practice, where she assists real estate clients with all aspects of their business including compliance work, consulting services and technological efficiency solutions. Her extensive experience includes complex structures and transactions within the real estate industry for all types of real estate assets under fair value GAAP basis, tax basis and historical cost GAAP basis of accounting. Bird-Keith also oversees and manages audits of employee benefit plans, including plans required to be filed with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Bird-Keith has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
George started her career with Moore Colson over 13 years ago. She has held several roles within the firm, advancing with successive promotions from associate to a tax director role in 2021 and a partner role in 2022. George has primarily focused on tax compliance and planning for closely-held businesses and their owners. She also has extensive experience assisting her clients with compensation allocations and transitions of ownership. Her responsibilities include coordinating tax services for clients, planning and organizing engagements, suggesting and implementing tax planning ideas and mentoring staff. George’s professional background in public accounting includes serving clients in the medical, professional services and real estate industries. George holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Georgia. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the North Fulton Medical Group Management Association (NFMGMA) and PrimeGlobal. She also serves as an elder at Marietta Community Church and volunteers with MUST Ministries.
