Our HistoryProudly serving the Southeast since 1981
This year, Moore Colson is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Since opening our doors in 1981, we’ve had the privilege of working with countless dedicated team members, clients and friends of the firm. In honor of the contributions these individuals have made to the success of our firm and the support we have had from the Atlanta community, we are planning to celebrate our 40th anniversary all year long.
The theme for our 40th anniversary is, “Thinking forward. Giving back.” This theme allows us to reflect on the great memories of our firm over the last 40 years as we celebrate by thinking forward to the innovation that lies ahead in the future while giving back to our local community. Giving back has always been at the core of who we are as a firm, and we look forward to serving the Atlanta community as part of our celebration. We invite you to join us in this celebration by giving back to your community in a way that is meaningful to you.
Since the founding of Moore Colson in 1981 by Greg Colson, Bill Murphy and Jack Moore, the firm has been committed to building wealth and security for our clients by providing traditional accounting and consulting services to closely-held businesses. As a mid-size accounting firm in the Southeast, Moore Colson has had a history of steady growth from the beginning days when our first office was located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta and housed a staff of two professionals, one bookkeeper and one receptionist.
As Moore Colson began to grow in numbers and experience, our service offerings also began to expand throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
