Talk to an expert
Moore Colson assists our clients when they become involved in, or aware of, potential fraudulent activity or other situations requiring the assistance of a forensic accountant. Our team of forensic accounting experts digs deep to determine what occurred or still may be occurring, the extent of the situation, why it occurred, who perpetrated it and the overall impact on our client.
Forensic Accounting Team
Our Forensic Accounting team is comprised of professionals with in-depth situational and industry-specific knowledge and experience. We have the capability to dig into transactions that occurred over several months or multiple years. Members of our team have attained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations and have decades of experience examining a company’s or an individual’s financial and other business transactions.
We not only determine what happened in the past but also assist in preventing it from occurring in the future. We work very closely with our clients, their client’s legal counsel, or other professional advisors to ensure that our scope is in line with the client’s needs, and we keep them informed so that they can take whatever action they deem fit, based upon the facts at hand.
Once we’ve met with the client and their legal and professional advisors to understand what they believe has occurred, our team begins gathering data, which will be crucial to our analysis. We utilize our forensic accounting skills to uncover past acts and determine the information relevant to the situation. Our goal is to uncover exactly what happened based upon the facts at hand and to convey that information not only to our client, counsel, and other third parties but also to a court and jury as an expert witness, as necessary.
