Jon Powell

Jon Powell is a Partner in Moore Colson’s Risk Advisory Practice Area and is the firm’s Cybersecurity Leader. He oversees information technology engagements, including IT risk assessments, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal audit services, System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits and reporting, and other compliance and advisory engagements. He also assists with Moore Colson’s data analytics initiatives by utilizing tools like Alteryx, IDEA and ACL. Jon led financial statement audit engagements for the first ten years of his career.

Jon’s professional background in public and private accounting, and his strong leadership, project management, interpersonal and team-oriented skills complement Moore Colson’s already diversified Risk Advisory Practice Area. With experience in compliance, internal controls reporting, due diligence, IT auditing and general business advisory, Jon partners with and develops strong and lasting relationships with his clients to lead projects that span multiple years. He has successful business experience serving clients in the distribution, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, technology and transportation industries.
