The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) announced that Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, won the Hardy Ivy Park competition group in the second annual AVLF Cup. The Hardy Ivy Park competition group consists of accounting service firms in the Atlanta area.
The year-long friendly competition brings together law firms and accounting firms in the Atlanta area to support AVLF’s mission of creating safe and stable communities in Atlanta for low-income tenants and survivors of abuse. The 2022 AVLF Cup raised more than $240,000, providing crucial resources for pro bono legal and social services to Atlanta’s most vulnerable community members.
Throughout the year, legal and accounting professionals in Atlanta competed to raise money and earn points toward the AVLF Cup. Competitors included more than fifteen firms and more than 500 individual donors in five categories, including Centennial Olympic Park (organizations with 250+ employees), Woodruff Park (organizations with 125 – 249 employees), Hurt Park (31 – 124 employees), Perkerson Park (organizations with less than 30 employees) and Hardy Ivy Park (accounting service firms). AVLF presented awards to two winners in each category, one for raising the most money and one for reaching the highest point total.
Moore Colson raised $2,085 for the AVLF, ranking them number one in the Hardy Ivy Park category for both the Highest Dollar Amount Raised and the Most Points Awarded.
