Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced the hiring of Brandon Valentine as business assurance manager.
Valentine joins Moore Colson with over six years of progressive auditing and accounting experience, with advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Prior to Moore Colson, Valentine served as an audit associate at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLC, in Memphis, TN, where he was responsible for performing detailed accounting, compliance and internal control testing for clients in the energy, construction, IT, manufacturing, transportation and retail industries. Valentine was later promoted to senior audit associate to plan and conduct audit engagements for hospitality, manufacturing, financial planning and nonprofit organizations while supervising and developing staff accountants in the Audit Department.
Valentine, CPA, has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. At Moore Colson, Valentine’s responsibilities will include performing financial statement audits and assurance services, advising clients related to new accounting standards and best practices in internal controls, and managing and developing staff members.
