Atlanta, Georgia (June 19, 2013) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of three Summer Interns: Kady Fulkerson (Tax Services), The University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, Carlyle Yealy (Business Assurance Services), Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Charley Irons (Tax Services), The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Kady Fulkerson – University of Georgia: Kady is a student at The University of Georgia and plans to graduate in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is a Hope Scholarship recipient and member of The Dean’s List. Previously, Kady worked for Ben’s Brands for Less, Sandy Springs, GA where she assisted with posting payroll for over 50 employees, trained on accounts payable using Great Plains, assisted with performing a check run and matching checks. Kady served on the Sponsorship Committee for a local organization – “Shop with a Bulldawg” where she solicited donations and sponsorships from the community and personally helped raise funds and allocate the spending of funds for a child’s Christmas. She also helped monitor 200 children while distributing food to over 50 women and children.
Carlyle Yealy – Wake Forest University: Carlyle current attends Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and also plans to graduate in May, 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Psychology. Carlyle has been a member of the Dean’s List for the past 4 semesters, and for the last four years, she has been the head life guard at Sweet Water Pools, working 25 – 30 hours per week. She is also Vice President of Finance for Delta Delta Delta Sorority, a Student Academic Advisor, a participant in the PwC xACT Case Competition, a member of the Accounting Society, and a facilitator for PREPARE in Winston-Salem, NC. Carlyle also completed a six week course in Managerial Accounting in several countries including: Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Spain, and Italy.
Charley Irons – University of Alabama: Charley joins us from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL and plans to graduate with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, May 2014, and also a Minor in French. Charley is a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, a Supervisor with Alabama’s Intramural Sports, a volunteer / mentor with One Place Mentoring Program in Tuscaloosa, where he served as a mentor to underprivileged fourth grade students. He is also a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, University Honors Program, President’s List and Dean’s List at The University of Alabama.
