Atlanta, Georgia (January 7, 2013) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of Mike Reynolds, Business Assurance Senior Associate. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service Certified Public Accounting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, management consulting, estate and financial planning, lender advisory services, IT audit consulting, and corporate accounting services.
Prior to joining Moore Colson, Mike was an Associate for the past year with Chatham Capital in Atlanta, where he was responsible for underwriting, legal documentation and deal negotiations in the debt funding of private equity sponsored transactions. He also monitored nine portfolio companies including updating financial information, analyzing for key trends and determining the drivers for those trends.
Prior to working for Chatham Capital, Mike was an Audit Senior with another local Atlanta accounting firm in their Financial Reporting & Assurance Department. Mike was an In-charge and managed on-site fieldwork for the audit team’s engagements and was responsible for performing planning procedures, balance sheet and income statement testing of key risk areas, control testing, compliance, financial reporting, and training and assisting staff.
Mike is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business Blacksburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting focus. He is also the Treasurer for the Atlanta Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
