Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of Christopher D. Fagan, CPA, as a Senior Manager in the firm’s Business Assurance Practice. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia providing tax, assurance, management consulting, estate and financial planning, lender advisory services, IT audit consulting services, and corporate accounting services.
In his new role with Moore Colson, Christopher will be working primarily with the firm’s private equity and manufacturing and distribution clients focusing on assurance and transaction services. Christopher will also serve as an advisor to clients in many other areas including debt financing diligence and advisory projects focused on inventory valuation and controls, and consulting services.
Christopher joins Moore Colson with over six years of experience working with clients ranging in size from start-ups and middle-market to large private and public companies, and three years of experience working in accounting departments for a publicly financed entity and a university medical center. Most recently, Christopher worked as a Senior Audit Manager with Warren Averett LLC where he managed complex audit engagements, private company financial reporting, and special projects involving inventory valuation. Prior to joining Warren Averett LLC, Christopher worked as an Assurance and Financial Advisory Manager with Crowe Horwath LLP in New York, New York, where he focused on an audit client base of private equity portfolio holdings and supporting buyers and sellers in the firm’s Transaction Services Group. Christopher also served in the firm’s financial advisory group performing buy side financial due diligence of public and private companies, debt financing diligence and advisory projects focused on inventory valuation and controls. He instructed newly promoted senior staff on audit planning, financial statement presentation, inventory valuation and controls and new audit standards.
Christopher received a Master of Accountancy from Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business, Nashville, Tennessee in August, 2007 and is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, 2004. Christopher is a Certified Public Accountant certified in the states of Tennessee and New York and is also a member of the Tennessee Society of CPA’s as well as the AICPA.
