Moore Colson, the number one ranked Best of the Best CPA and Advisory firm in the United States by Inside Public Accounting, announced Partner and Corporate Accounting Practice Leader Elizabeth Miller will serve as a panelist for the upcoming event hosted by Accountants One titled Choose Your Life, Part 3: Heroines in Business – Managing Your Career from a Woman’s Perspective.
The event will feature Lori Kaczynski, vice president of internal audit and chief audit executive for Graphic Packaging International, Inc., as the keynote speaker. Alongside Miller, other guest panelists include Adrienne White, vice president of strategy and business development of Citizens Trust Bank, and Sarika Davis, director of risk assurance at PWC. These industry leaders will discuss unique perspectives on work-life balance and challenges in the workplace while sharing advice with accounting and finance professionals on topics ranging from community involvement to career progression.
Accountants One, a boutique recruiting firm for accounting and financial professionals in Atlanta, is hosting the event with Moore Colson as a sponsor. Moore Colson’s Elizabeth Miller was selected to participate on the panel due to her depth of experience and diverse leadership roles. Miller, a CPA with over twenty years of experience in public accounting, provides analysis, design, and development of business structures for accounting departments in the construction, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, restaurant and hospitality, service, legal and information technology industries. She is also an IT consultant on various accounting software packages. As a contract CFO, Miller is responsible for managing accounting departments, directing the final preparation of financial statements, working directly with lenders and surety agents, and assisting management with job costing estimates. She has extensive experience with prevailing wages under the Davis/Bacon Act for those working under government contracts and routinely assists business owners with their payroll software setup to assure appropriate calculations for job costing and benefits, including cash fringe benefits. Miller has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Western State Colorado University and an MBA from Kennesaw State College. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in addition to serving as a Sunday School Teacher at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
“I am honored to be invited as a panelist for this prestigious event and to be among such distinguished women,” said Miller. “This is an opportunity for everyone in the accounting industry to come together and have a genuine conversation about what works and what doesn’t work in our industry and discuss strategies we can all use to better manage our personal and professional lives.”
The event is taking place on June 21st from 7:30 to 10 am at Roam Buckhead. The event is free of charge and will account for 2 hours of CPE. Event registration is available here.
