Atlanta, Georgia (January 9, 2013) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of a new Tax Associate and three Spring 2013 Interns: Eric Chism – Tax Associate, Sarah Boehmig – Tax Intern, Natalie Jett – Tax Intern, and Sara-Alison Massey – Business Assurance Intern. Eric Chism, CPA – Tax Associate
Eric joins the firm’s tax practice as an associate. Prior to coming to Moore Colson, Eric was a Personal Financial Representative with Allstate Financial, where he worked in conjunction with partnering property and casualty agents to train staff on how to recognize financial service cross sell opportunities within their books of business, and sold financial and insurance products based upon needs recognized during client interviews. Eric was also an Active Trading Relationship Manager/Business Development Specialist with E*Trade Financial.
Eric is a graduate of Keller School of Management, September 2012 with a Masters level studies in Accounting. He also attended Georgia State University, August 2011 and received a Post Baccalaureate studies in Accounting, and holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Alabama, May 2002. Eric has obtained the 150 hours of required education credits for state of Georgia certification and passed all four parts of the CPA examination.
Sarah Boehmig – Tax Services Spring 2013 Intern
Sarah Boehmig previously worked as a tax intern with Moore Colson during the summer of 2012. Sarah recently attended Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her studies at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Fall 2012. Sarah is also a licensed real estate agent. While attending Samford University, Sarah was the President of the Samford Bulldog Fund, Vice President of Membership for the Financial Management Association, Vice President of Publicity for Beta Alpha Psi, Younglife Leader at Pizitz Middle School, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, Dean’s Student Advisory Council Member, Samford Baseball Belles, and an after school Tutor with the Church of the Reconciler. Sarah previously worked with Daxko, Birmingham, Alabama, Samford University Advancement Office, Birmingham, Alabama, Matahari Headquarters, Jakarta, Indonesia, Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, Atlanta, Georgia, and started her own business selling over 500 purses worldwide.
Natalie Jett – Tax Services Spring 2013 Intern
Natalie Jett joins Moore Colson as a Tax Intern from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Natalie is currently working on a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration, and is expected to graduate in May 2013. Prior to attending the University of Alabama, Natalie attended Wallace State Community College, Hanceville, AL, Summer 2010, and Shelton State Community College, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Summer 2011. Natalie was the recipient of the John Howell Pearson Endowed Scholarship in Accounting, a member of: Impact Alabama – SaveFirst Tax Training Program, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, student member, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, student member, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Tuscaloosa Tornado Relief Volunteer, Dean’s List, and was a Capstone Scholar Scholarship.
Sara-Alison Massey – Business Assurance 2013 Spring Intern
Sara-Alison also returns to Moore Colson for a second internship in the Business Assurance practice. Sara-Alison worked as an intern during the summer of 2012, and will graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in May 2013. She is a HOPE Scholarship recipient and studied abroad at the University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria with a focus on financial and business management. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega-Beta Sigma Chapter, volunteer for MUST Ministries, volunteer for Red Cross/Blood Drives, and participated in the Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society. Sara-Alison previously worked for Massey Automotive, Marietta, Georgia providing bookkeeping support, including accounts payables / accounts receivables customer service reports, and vendor assistance. She was also a part time Nanny in Athens, Georgia caring for children of University of Georgia professors, and a Summer Camp Counselor at Cheatham Hill Elementary School, Austell, Georgia.
