Briton Lanier, CPA
Brit Lanier, CPA, is a Partner in Moore Colson’s Transaction Services Practice Area. He has more than ten years of experience in financial due diligence, modeling and analysis. At Moore Colson, Brit consults with strategic and private equity clients on all aspects of accounting and financial matters for buy- and sell-side transactions. He assists clients throughout the transaction life cycle, from pre-deal analysis through post-transaction integration and evaluation. His expertise includes analyzing the quality of earnings, examining net working capital and corresponding cash flows, identifying debt-like exposures, assessing key business drivers and critiquing valuation models. He also has significant experience reviewing purchase and sale agreements to evaluate purchase price mechanisms and financial representations.
Brit has experience working with clients across several industries, including business services, distribution, manufacturing, communications and transportation. He has led over 100 buy- and sell-side financial due diligence engagements ranging from $10 million to $5 billion.
Brit joined Moore Colson in 2023 after working as a Director in the Global Transaction Advisory Group at Alvarez & Marsal, where he led buy- and sell-side due diligence engagements for private equity clients, focusing on the communications, infrastructure, manufacturing and renewable energy industries. Before that, Brit worked as a Strategy and Transactions Manager with Ernst & Young. Brit also held roles at Hein & Associates as a Transaction Advisory Services Associate and at Kessler Energy as an Equity Research Analyst where he built detailed financial models for upstream oil and gas investors.
